THE LOWLAND AND BORDERS PIPERS' SOCIETY
This is the society for all types of Scottish bellows
blown pipes and smallpipes. Members are involved in the revival of a distinctive
Border piping tradition with its own instruments, techniques and repertoire,
sharing some gracing technique with Highland tradition and some sprightly tune
types with the weekends. Publishes a regular newsletter and the journal "Common
Stock". Publishing an extensive manual and CD-Rom for Scottish bellows
bagpipes later this year. More information at their
website.
